Christmas Break

Cedar City is super boring with everyone gone. Most of my friends left on Friday and it's only saturday... so I know I am kind of just complaining but I really am so bored. I have closed 3 nights in a row and I close again tomorrow night. It isn't to bad because I'm working but I still miss everyone.

Kaily is in Chicago.

Eric and Brent are in San Diego.

Sarah, Jessica and Cole are in Las Vegas.

Leila is in Price.

Michael is in Orem (till monday).

Tonight

I wanted to blog about this really fast before I forget or decide not to.

Tonight turned out totally different then I thought it would. For those of you who don't know it was elections for Alpha Phi and for a while I had my heart set on being President. When that didn't happen I decided that I just wanted to be on the EC.

My name wasn't called for any position tonight and I really wanted to cry. We did a senior ceremony and everyone was crying because the seniors were leaving, I was selfishly crying because I didn't get any position. Its really hard when for so long everyone said that I would make a great president and that I would do amazing things for the chapter, and then to not get any EC position at all. Not only was it depressing, it was embarrassing.

It felt like Miss Lehi all over again. I was sitting there not winning anything and had to congratulate the people that did. Everyone was asking me if I was o.k. and telling me they loved me, but really it didn't matter. I was so so sad. I really had no idea what I was going to do.

My plan was to go home eat ice cream and cry. I didn't want to talk to anyone or do anything. Instead me and Kaily decided to go see New Moon. It was amazing! I hated (HATED) Twilight. It was horrible, so I wasn't all excited to see New Moon, but can I tell you...I loved it. Im not a Team Jacob fan, but after this movie I might convert. I loved everything about it.

So, New Moon made me feel a little better. After I got a call from the newly elected Vice President of Program Development Brooke Dudley. She asked me to be SOCIAL CHAIR! I was so excited. I accepted and started to think... social chair is so much cooler than any EC position. You get to plan all the fun stuff and you don't get the stress of EC. Plus I still have 2 more years at SUU, I have plenty of time to be on the EC later... right. And I can learn even more about Alpha Phi and do better in my positions.

Anyway, what almost was a crappy night turned out to be amazing. I'm glad I didn't over react and cause a scene, or make people feel sorry for me. I love my sisters and I know that whatever they decide is best for the Chapter. :)

I-Days

This week is I days for Alpha Phi. I days is the week of Initiation when the New Members get to learn more about Alpha Phi and are prepared to become a member. Last year I got to experience it for the first time for myself, and this year I have two little sisters who get to do it now. The ceremonies and rituals in Alpha Phi are some of my favorite things about my Sorority!

This is a picture of my pledge class a year ago. There are only 8 of us now, but we experienced I days all together and I still love them all!

Sleep

Its five in the morning, and I just got home. Lately I haven't really been sleeping a whole lot. I blame a lot of people... none of them being me. Mostly I blame Kaily :) Ever since we became close I don't ever sleep. I don't know how she lives her life on 4 to 5 hours of sleep everyday. If I don't sleep through my 9 AM class, then I end up taking a 5 hour nap when I get home. I think this has been my best semester at SUU, my grades aren't the best, but that doesn't matter if I love life right? Besides the grades, I love Alpha Phi and all the new members. I can't wait for them to get initiated. Raquel is the best roommate! She just got back from Disney World and brought me a present for watching Otto and Oakley (her two cats) I love Kaily! Even though we don't ever sleep and spend a lot of money at Robertos we always have fun! Oh and I have to add I love Sigma Chi. I have been hanging out with them a lot lately and they are all really nice cool guys. (I do have to say I like Sigma Nu, but since we never hang out I don't have much to say) :) Anyway, that is the end of my late night/early morning blog. Now I am going to try and sleep!

I'm Poor!!!

Im so poor its sad, so since I have a lot of things I don't need/want, I decided to have a BLOG SALE!! :)

SUU VS. NAU

This weekend was so much fun! 

We drove down to Arizona to watch SUU play Northern Arizona University! Meg drove me and Ashley and Raquel, Timian, Courtney, and Caitlin where in the other car. 

I love Ashley so so much, Im so glad she decided to come! I love spending time with her!

I just barely got to know Meg and I love her so much! She is so much fun! She drove me down and I love her!

Our hotel rooms had a red heat lamp, so we took a picture under it to show our SUU pride!

John McCain showed up at the game! Me, Raquel and Timian saw him go and sit down and I went over to just take a picture of him, but then ended up going over and asking him if I could get a picture.  I was shaking so bad!!! 

This is all of us at the game! It was so much fun and we were pretty loud for only a couple of us being there! 

We ended up losing, but they played a really good game.  Raquels boyfriend Tyson got injured at the beginning of the year and this was his first game back, he made a touchdown and was a huge help in helping the team catch up.  It was disappointing because our team did so good towards the end and it ended up being so close. 

After the game we went out and got Sushi and Hibachi! I actually tried some Sushi! I ended up spitting it out, it was really weird. It was just crab... but it really freaked me out! After dinner we went and found the Sigma Chi dorms and hung out with them for a little bit, it was so much fun!

Beta Zetas

Rush ended last friday and we have the most AMAZING girls! I love all of them, and I already feel like I know a lot them so well.  I even have a couple littles in mind! 

This is all the Alpha Phis! We are once again big!!! We currently have 54 members and I can't see anyone leaving for a while! 

After our Bid Day Party Sigma Chi had a dance party at their house.  Almost all the new members came! These are some of the cute new girls with me and Kristy! We had so much fun!

After the dance a whole bunch of us went to the mid night showing of Sorority Row! It was a really lame movie, but it was fun seeing it with all the girls... and the 3 Sigma Chis that showed up!

Fall Rush 2009

Today was the Greek BBQ and I talked to so many amazing girls! I can already tell this Rush is going to be amazing! Every girl I talked to I just loved so much! I'm so excited for Rush Week to officially start.

This is my cute little pledge class (we are missing Mikkela and Brooke) I love them so much and even though we are tiny we are so close! :)

Fall 2009

I love Cedar City. Wow, I never thought those words would come out of my mouth! :) Just kidding! I've almost lived here a entire month and I'm not even home sick yet! It feels like I have only been here for a week! I miss everyone back in Lehi but being away from all the drama and being out on my own is so refreashing!

School is going....well...ok. I like my classes...they are just soo long! My math class isn't too bad yet. Except since im kind of dumb, im in a class with a lot of stupid freshmen and some of them are so annoying! I honestly feel like im in High school again. Me and a couple other "older" people sit in the back and just try to not pay attention to the loud annoying girl in front. I love my english class! I know its going to be so much fun, even if I have to write long papers. My two Criminal Justice classes are going to be really fun, if I can manage to stay awake for them. I already fell asleep once hah. In almost every class there is at least one cute boy....so thats really exciting!

I am having so much fun living with Raquel. She is such an amazing person and I feel so blessed to be able to spend time with her. If you didn't already know she is the president of my Sorority Alpha Phi and she has already done so many amazing things for Theta Sigma. Last spring we won Organization of the Year from SUU and it really was almost all because of her. I hope that I can be as good of a leader as she is.

Presidential Ambassadors is so much fun! Im a Task Force Leader so im in charge of my own little group and my group is the BEST! They are so excited to be able to give tours and to recruit and it makes me excited! I just love love love it! If we all get certified for tours in 3 weeks then we are having a BBQ!

Natalie will be proud...I signed up for Institute! Im really excited for it. I have alot of things in my life I need to change and I know that Institute will help me get through all the stuggles I have been having in my life.

The only thing that could be better right now is if Me, Lainey Linzee and Lacee where together more! Its so weird to spend almost 24/7 with them and then not see them every day. I miss them and they are still my best friends! Lainey wants to rush...how exciting!

Anyway...I love SUU and this year is already turning out to be better than last. Last fall I didn't really want to be here, and changing my attitude has helped so much!

I also decided for my readers :) that I would throw in a little quote at the end of each blog...kind of to inspire..and to be funny. So enjoy!!

My Sisters!

I honestly don't know what I would do without the love and support from my sisters in Alpha Phi! I have been with someone almost every second since the pageant and I haven't really had time to just sit and think about Miss Iron County. I am sad that the outcome didn't turn out the way I wanted it to, but thankfully I have so many sisters that wouldn't let me get discouraged!

Right before I left for the school I had tons of facebook messages! (Thanks Ash for the advice!)

Timian and Raquel ran backstage just before I was about to go on and gave me flowers!

I could hear Kristy, Val, Raquel, and Timian screaming for me the entire night, and they even made me a poster!

And after they all told me I did really good.

I don't know really how good I did, but I know that even if they where lying to me, it would only be because they love me! :)

And I of course can't forget my REAL sister Natalie! Thanks sis for being there for me, even when you couldn't ;)

I went into work today and Heather Larson was working with me, I told her about the pageant and how it was hard when people asked me how it went all I can say is. "Oh, I had fun...but I didn't win." Its been really hard not to shout "I LOST OK!?" She told me that I should just start making up stories on why I didn't win....

"Well, I found out I was pregnant right before I went on stage, and I decided to let the judges know."

"The director found out I took some nude pictures a year ago and they told me I couldn't win."

"I decided I should step down and let another girl win, Iron County just isn't a big enough title."

Of course non of these where true, but Heather made it a lot easier for me to tell people I lost.

Anyway, the point is I don't know where I would be today without Alpha Phi. Rush is coming up soon and I can't wait to share Alpha Phi with another pledge class, I feel bad for girls who aren't a part of my sorority because they have no idea what its like to have this big of a family!

Memories

I found some of these pictures on my Computer and thought it would be fun to show some of them off!
This was one of my best friends at Meadow. Her name is Monet and we both where in Spanish Immersion. My mom would babysit her everyday before school and then after school I would go over to her house and we would hang out at her house. I would sleep over there just about ever weekend. We did alot together, we made dances up to Backstreet Boys, and we learned all the words to "Baby Got Back".

Jarom moved into the ward when I was eleven and I always kind of had a crush on him. It was back in the days when kids would "Go out" which each other, and he was my boyfriend for just about all of Jr. High. There where a group of us that would hang out all the time, and we where in the same ward and all best friends! Me and Jarom liked each other for six years! We are still friends, but the days of love are way behind us!

This is one of my favorite memories of Meadow! It was in third grade and I stole some of my sisters make up and brought it to school for picture day, me and my friend Shantel put it on right before pictures and I thought I was so hott! In the class picture I have so much attitude, its a wonder how I had friends!

Every year my ward would build a float for the the Lehi Round-Up Days Parade. I don't remember why I was dressed up like Raggidy Anne, but even though im way little, I still remember sitting on the float....I don't think I was happy.

Summer 2009

I haven't, as im sure you are aware, blogged in a LONG time! Alot has happened!!

Miss Lehi is done and over with. I didn't win anything and I was dissapointed for along time.

I truly think I did my best, I just wasn't supposed to be Miss Lehi. I'm still glad I did it, it was a great experience and I got to spend alot of time with Gabby, Kate, and my sister. I am however doing Miss Iron County on August 15th. Im excited for this pageant, and I am pretty sure this will be my last one.

The fourth of July was alot of fun! I hung out with Jesse, Rachael, and Rachaels family. We drove over to Thanksgiving Point and watched the fireworks! Fireworks are my favorite and they where amazing! After we went back to Rachaels house and roasted marshmellows! Rachael had only just moved back from Colorado and I loved finally being able to spend some time with her!

I went to an Alpha Phi Leadership retreat in Indiana for 5 days! I met some of the most amazing girls, and it has made me love and appreciate Alpha Phi so much more! Im so sad that not every girl has the chance to attend. I think it really did change my life, and I made some really good friends that will last forever!

Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince may be the best Harry Potter movie yet! It doesn't do the book justice, but it was still amazing! Me and nine of my friends went to Jordan Commons where there was everything from Licorice Wands to Butterbeer! I was so excited, and really emotional after the movie was over!! I already can't wait for the next movie, November 2010 baby, who's coming with me?!






The 24th of July was first spent with some of my Alpha Phi girls! Ali had a BBQ at her house and Jessica, Chelsey, Mikkela, Becca, Leslie and Me all showed up! It was really fun even though I didnt stay very long. I loved seeing some of the girls! I've missed them all so much, which is one of the reasons Im so excited to move back to Cedar City!





The next part of Pionner Day me and Sierra went to a pool party with some of her friends. Turned out not to be pool party, but four of us hanging out in a guys pool none of us knew. It was extreamly awkward, and a whole bunch of fun! We spent the night jumping off the diving board, going down the slide, and playing PIG in the pool with the basketball hoop! It was one of the best nights this summer.

CAN YOU BELIEVE THAT SUMMER ISN'T EVEN OVER YET!?

Lately...

- Miss Lehi is in 2 weeks and I am feeling a little bit scared. Just about my talent outfit...I think thats really the last thing I need, I bought a new Interview Outfit and a new swimsuit. I feel so much better about my talent this year, I have so much fun singing it!!

-I started working at the Wingers in Lehi which has turned out to be alot of fun. Everyone I work with is really nice and its really laid back there, which is good and bad. Alot of the time people don't show up to work, or show up 20 min. late, and they don't get fired! Whats up with that?!

-I live at home...I thought it would be okay, but its turning out not to be much fun at all!!

- I get a new phone tomorrow...its a blackberry pearl...im super excited.

- I really miss Alpha Phi, Wingers in Cedar, SUU, and my friends, I can't wait for fall.

- Harry Potter is in like...50 days, which means Im going to Colorado to see Rach, and before that Im going to Indiana for a Leadership Conference for Alpha Phi (which is all free!)

The season finale is in a couple weeks and right now its down to four. Allison is my favorite! Fo was my favorite, but she got kicked off last week. Celia is ok, she looks kind of old in her pictures, but she is better than the other two girls.

Hooray!

Tonight is my last night in Juniper. I'm so happy. I'm sick of this place, and the food in the cafeteria. I think there might come a day when I miss it.... but I don't think that day is going to come anytime soon.

Random Things

Finals, I haven't even taken a test yet, but Im already sick of them. My first test is in 45min. I should be studying....but decided to blog instead.

I really just want to move back home. I am really excited for Miss Lehi, but Im kind of stressing about it. I think once I get home I will feel better about it.

Lainey and Lacee started blogging. I love it! They are on my list if anyone wants to check out their blogs, so far they blogged about Me and Linzee...so its pretty cool. Check it out :)

Im going to work at Wingers in Lehi....Donna text me yesterday and said she didn't have any server shifts she could give me but I could host friday and saturday...which if you think about it is a horrible idea because I wouldn't make any money. I think Im going to stick with the one in Lehi. (Even though I've heard the management isn't very good...but I've been known to change lives, maybe I can change Wingers)

I'm going to Springdale on Friday. Springdale is this little town by Zions. Lacee lives there and she says its amazing so Im excited to go!

My brother moved to Seattle for the entire summer and didn't even say goodbye to me! How rude is he?!

I stole a whole box of Capri Suns from my house, my mom doesn't know, I think she might be mad. They are really good. Berry Breeze- I highly recommend it.

Morgans Around the Clock Bridal Shower

Today was Morgans bridal shower for all the girls in Alpha Phi. It was so much fun! We played games, ate really good food, and spend time together as sisters! Morgan looked beautiful as always and she got some really cool presents. The theme was "Around the Clock" so everyone got a present like "Dinner Time", "Game Time", or I got "Lunch Time". It was such a cute idea. I ended up getting her a picnic basket she wanted from bed bath and beyond. I had alot of fun!!My table!! Diana, Roz, Chelsey, Kristy, me and Kalle! I absolutely love all these girls!

Arrested Development - Part 2

This may just be the best show I have ever seen. I discovered it about 4 months ago, and I just couldn't stop watching it. Lately I have been watching all the episodes again and they are so funny!! Gob (the one witht he bird) is for sure my favorite character in the show, but all of them are pretty much tied for 2nd place.

Not only is Gob freaking funny, whenever he does a magic show the song "the final countdown" plays. Its the best!! If you havent watched this how yet I highly recommend it. All the episodes are on Hulu!

Im officially a grown up.

Whenever I eat like a sandwich, or a salad or something I don't ask for the tomatoes or onions on the side. I have really grown to like them. I remember when I was little I thought only grown ups liked them, and now I do which means that I am officially a grown up.

Sisterhood Retreat

This was my first Sisterhood Retreat and it was so much fun! The point of it is to bond with all your sisters in Alpha Phi and I realy feel like that is what happened. Already, I feel so much closer to most of the girls. I love it because now we all have inside jokes and we shared priceless memories. I love all of them so much and I know that joining Alpha Phi was the right thing for me. I don't think that I would feel like I belong at SUU if it wasn't for my wonderful sisters! Love and AOE!

The Lost Movies.

SPRING BREAK!

Spring Break was so much fun!We went to In-n-Out everyday we were there! Grilled cheese animal style is amazing!!The first thing we did on saturday was go to the Santa Monica Pier and Venice Beach! It was amazing, the ocean was beautiful!

The next thing we did was go to the LA Temple. It was so cool. Its up on a hill higher than all of LA, you could see everything!
We stopped for dinner at California Pizza Kitchen in Hollywood.
I found the place where Daniel Radcliffe put his hand....amazing!!

We also ended up going to Downtown Disney.

Wednesday we went to Knottsberry Farm, it was fun but I got a little sick.

After Knottsberry Farm we made it to the beach just in time to see the sun going down.
We had a competition going to see who good kiss the most boys on Spring Break. This is after our first.
And after the second (thats as far as we got, but me and Lacee still won)
Thursday after a long day of shopping and meeting Laineys famous brother Tyler we went to Orange County so see my Uncle Glehn and Aunt Mary-Beth. I love them!

Friday we spent almost the whole day in Oceanside. I was trying to make a hole so we could bury someone in it, except it didn't work.
